From: Devil Racer .....--... 2009 ASBK Supp Regs and Final Dates

I was not going to do an injustice to Terry, the FX series and this website by commenting on the ASBK. However, since FX is willing to post ASBK material on this site, I find myself compelled to ad my two bobs worth.
Sure, it may all be about Superbike and Supersport and they may very well put the majority of bums on seats, but I get the feeling that the privateer classes (ie Superstock) are already being treated like sh!t. We're 6 weeks out from the start of apparently (no disrespect to FX), a more professionally run and presented series, however there is absolutely NO firm commitment from the promotor if Superstock will even be programmed at Phillip Island.
Fair enough, we mightn't be the star attraction, however I spend a lot of money on my racing every year and have good sponsors who expect a degree of professionalism. At the end of the day Superstock (and other support classes) provide a bloody good backbone for road racing and promotors in this country alike.
I can't pay up front for travel, accommodation and book time off work if I can't even get any sense in regards if we have a show or not.
MA, you should be ashamed of this fiasco, but of course you won't be because you beleive you are answerable to no one. Well wake up Motorcycling Australia, because I'm an active paying member of your association just like everyone else on the grid, and we are all pi$$ed off.
I tell you what, FX is looking better and better every day. I only hope the ASBK season stacks up to what it is promised to be for the sake of this sport.
Thank you Terry & FX for providing a place for public comment.
