Thought I would give you an Idea what we spend to travel from SA to Wakefield.
We run as lean as possible but the costs below are reflective of true costs, I always allow all running costs of transport vehicles,
as we transport 7 bikes we use a small truck + VW crafter van.
Included in running costs are depreciation, wear & tear, fuel, rego & insurance.
Truck $1.00 a Kilometre; 2400km round trip = $2400.00
Van .70 a kilometre; 2400km round trip = $1680.00
Accomodation $620.00
Entry fees, practice & garage for weekend $1685.00
Bike Tyres $2800.00
food $450.00
Bike fuel $140.00
Incidentals $250.00
Total $10,025.00
or $3,341 per person
We could do it cheaper if we bought one large truck but the costs of a larger truck blow out so not a huge saving.
Eastern creek round is more expensive due to extra distance + accomodation costs.
Anyway thats what we spend, funnily enough the costs are almost identical for a interstate club meet as well.
